19 of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been achieved on hard surfaces
A comeback the Russian player won his maiden championship for over two years with success over Frenchman Moutet in the competition final.
The Russian, a ex- world number one, has endured a challenging period, achieving just one win at the major tournaments and suffering a setback at the US Open.
The player's varied form on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serve in especial - resulted in him dropping out of the world's top 10 and ultimately splitting with former trainer Cervara.
Now collaborating with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the past month - climaxing in a closely contested competitive triumph over challenger Moutet.
This represents his initial title following the Italian tournament and initial on a hardcourt from that period of 2023.
Success also signifies he has secured 21 titles at twenty-one different tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a event with my two daughters together, so to win a title is really nice," stated world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my younger daughter Victoria, because the first title I achieved when my child my daughter was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his past six title deciders, featuring in the German tournament previously this season.
His defensive play style and recurring outbursts on court had prompted some to wonder if his skill to perform at the top level was over.
But the player has altered his approach in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and compete aggressively, backed up by an improved serve.
Medvedev recovered from a disadvantage in the initial set against the challenging Moutet, winning four of the last five exchanges to take the lead.
The pair traded breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, striving for his first professional championship, gained dominance to push for a third set.
The opponent saved 4 initial chances in a close final set before the champion broke to that score to secure the win.
Suitably, he clinched victory with a rally at the net area, with the Frenchman incapable to manage a return after over two and a half hours.
