Large-scale Russian Attacks Eliminate Power Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have come under escalating strikes in recent weeks

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have caused electricity outages in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were hurt while local people in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and faced disruption to water systems, per reports from municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a minor was killed in a distinct aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to area administrators.

Russian forces has increased assaults on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "substantial measures" from allies to increase pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the US, Europe and the major economies - in supplying protection systems and applying sanctions," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and over thirty rockets attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were striving to restore power.

A series of attacks damaged power facilities and residential structures in Kyiv.

Several of the people injured in the strikes on the city have been hospitalized, per statements from municipal representatives.

Regional authorities said the city endured significant strikes throughout the evening. A young boy lost their life and several individuals were injured.

The attacks follow periods of aerial attacks in the area, parts of which are occupied by invading troops.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to spot.

Authorities told the media that Moscow was deliberately attempting to destroy the country's energy grid, with attacks already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and government agencies were anticipating additional strikes.
